Professional Apps for iPhone and iPad

Modern web technologies enable developers to create excellent user experience on mobile web browsers. So when is it useful to have a custom app developed for iPhone and iPad?

Dedicated apps are often developed for the following reasons:

  • To enhance brand awareness among consumers and to focus on carrying out the brand
  • To interact directly with consumers via push messages
  • To provide applications that require larger amounts of processing power or that contain large data sets
  • To provide easy access to secured network environments
  • To register and / or communicate data while the app is running in the background
  • To utilise specific hardware or functionalities of the mobile device that are not accessible via the mobile web browser

Sjoprz shopping app

Sjoprz is an app which allows consumers to buy groceries smarter: Cheaper, Easier and Healthier.

The app enables users to create grocery lists and shows in which stores they can be purchased for the lowest price. When computing the price, the app also takes into account special offers currently available nearby supermarkets.

Aveos developed the first versions of the Sjoprz app and subsequently transferred the source code to the client.

Alpine MusicSafeCheck

MusicSafeCheck is used by Alpine, producer of hearing protection, to make consumers aware of the risk of hearing damage.

The app measures sound pressure via the device's microphone and shows how long the user can stay at the location before suffering hearing damage.

The app measures in real-time and calculates energy in 2054 frequency bands. The results are very accurate and deviate less than 1 dB from professional measuring equipment.

BOOSTH Sync

Boosth is an initiative to encourage children to exercise more.

Children participating in this project receive a wristband that counts steps. When a child has moved enough, they can unlock new levels in the Boosth game.

Via the BOOTH Sync app, the information from the step counter is read via Bluetooth. Aveos developed the first versions and transferred the source code to the client.

Hearing Test #1

The Hearing Test #1 app measures which frequencies the user can hear. The performance of the left and right ear are compared.

The results can be saved on the device and also shared, for example via Facebook.

Wiertz Personeelsdiensten

With this app, vacancies can easily be found.

The app takes into account the current location of the user and the distance to the employer.

Saving and sharing vacancies is easy. Contact can also be made with one press of a button with the branch that has the vacancy in its portfolio.

Fair Play Casino

As part of a marketing campaign for Fair Play Casino, Aveos developed a set of 3 apps.

The "Game Info" app provided information about all slot machines at Fair Play. The "Location" app showed all Fair Play Casino locations and opening hours. The "Roulette Stats" app tracked roulette draws.

For this project, Aveos also developed an online content management system.

Stork

When the iPad 1 came to market, Stork decided to use it to support the acquisition process with an engaging presentation of Stork activities worldwide.

Stork commissioned the progressive agency Goal 043 in Maastricht. Aveos developed the iPad 1 application on behalf of Goal 043, pushing the boundaries of what was technically possible.
